LOSS AND LIFE CONTINUING

THINGS GO ON, EVEN IN FASCISM

Last week, I lost a friend to cancer. This is a sad and normal part of life. His community organized so that as many of us who could say goodbye would be able to do so. We reached out in various mediums to coordinate and see him in the hospital, even if he did not hear us. We read to him from his favorite book. We gave space to others, as he was well loved.

He touched a LOT of lives, and I am glad that I got the chance to see him one last time and say my goodbyes and read. I offered my toast to him tonight, after I wrote this.

My point is this. Community, Grief, Friendship, the cycles of Life; they all still matter despite what we are going through. Take the time to honor all of these things. Fascists and Narcissists try to disrupt that. They want all of your attention. Refuse to give it to them.
